Temperform Corporation has in-house Engineering and Metallurgical capability to provide our customers with technical support in:

The following videos display design modification of the riser system. The videos show the same casting with and without modification. Temperform Corporation uses simulation software which improves the yield and soundness of the casting by allowing us to see the problematic areas.

This video shows the initial design of feeding metal into the casting. As the color changes from yellow to gray, the video depicts the metal transforming from molten to solid. It can be seen that the riser is not optimally feeding the casting because of the restriction caused at the riser contact point. The premature freezing causes a void which compromises the soundness of the casting.

Improved casting soundness was achieved in this video by making design changes to allow un-interrupted flow of molten metal from the riser to the casting.
